Twenty years ago at the end of my rope, I was hooked on drugs.

I was hooked on cocaine freebase, and alcohol, and I was living in North Hollywood, and I was at the bottom. I was sinking. I was dying, actually, and I almost overdosed a couple of times freebasing, and living with a drug dealer. And one night my grandmother tells me at this time when I almost OD'd on drugs that she was praying for me, and I called upon the name of Jesus, and I got born again. I got saved, and delivered. And I asked God, I said, if you can take all this away from me, take it away from me. And I was instantly delivered from drugs. And, you know, I'm just a grateful person. I'm just grateful to be alive, and I love the Lord with all my heart. That's how I got started, and this is where I am today.

"What Can I Do for You?" is the perfect song for me. I'm talking to the Lord. I'm speaking to him and saying, you've done everything for me, what can I do for you? You've answered all my questions, and every mystery; what can I do for you? And recording it made me kind of teary, because I had kind of gotten away from asking God what I can do for him. And the song kind of put my life, back into perspective. The lyrics fit my life perfectly. He's done everything for me.
